The awareness of mental health over the past decade, has come on leaps and bounds. With the added pressures of everyday life, people are finding it more difficult to cope, consequently causing many of us to be troubled by mental health conditions.
Conditions such as, anxiety, anger, eating disorders, psychosis, bipolar, schizophrenia and many more, are becoming far to commonplace in today's society, often impacting upon our family and social lives.
Simple menial everyday tasks like working, school runs, shopping etc, all of a sudden become very complex, difficult to manage, perform and accomplish.
So what can we do about it I hear you ask ?
There are now many different treatments, therapies, and experts, which can help us with our problems. But having an active lifestyle, exercising, eating healthy, sleeping well and avoiding alcohol, are just some of the steps we can take to help ourselves along and hopefully lessen the chance of succumbing to mental health conditions.
Talking is also good. I would rather listen to your problems than attend your funeral. So speak out. Whether it be a friend, family member, work colleague or stranger. A problem shared is a problem halved.
Prevention is better than cure in my opinion.
Stay safe people and stay well.
